Joe’s Birthday Bash at Thrills Ville

Joe got older! To celebrate, we threw a party at the store complete with snacks, balloons, and a band!

Thanks to Low Water Mark for Ghosts rocking the store and all those who came out throughout the day to celebrate! If you missed it, don’t worry, we are already scheming on another appearance for the band in the coming months.

Checkout a live performance video for Low Water Mark for Ghosts’s single Collision Course filmed during the party and edited by our friend Byron from Hotson Media on our YouTube channel!

Thrills Ville Survives First Holidays

I know we have started off nearly every newsletter with a thank you but, truly, thanks to everyone who made Thrills Ville part of your holidays! We decided late to add a couple of extra shopping days for you all and open up on 12/23 and 12/24, when we typically would have been closed, and the response was great. We had a good run starting from Black Metal Friday through the end of the year.

Thanks again for all the support in 2024!

BUT no reason to slow down now! See below for info on the Thrills Ville party for Joe’s birthday later this month. We have several big things lined up, including an in-store performance by our friends Low Water Mark for Ghosts!

Happy New Year, here’s to a big 2025 for Thrills Ville!

Trick or Treaters Invade Thrills Ville

Thanks to everyone who came through for Trick or Treating on Main Street before Halloween! We loved seeing the little ones all decked out as their favorite characters and all the reactions to our buddy Screampool. For about 2 straight hours we had a parade through the store as we gave kids the ultimate trick or treating pop quiz: candy from the chocolate bucket or candy from the fruity bucket?

Fortunately, Joe has made a full recovery after his surprise run in with Michael Meyers. If that doesn’t make sense to you, you should check out the Halloween ad on our YouTube channel!

Thrills Ville Invades Edwardsville

Adding some missing spiciness to the local business line up, Thrills Ville has opened in Downtown Edwardsville. Conveniently located between Stagger Inn and Dewey’s Pizza, Thrills Ville is bound to be your new favorite destination while waiting for a table. Just don’t be surprised if you find you need more than a few minutes to soak in everything it has to offer.

Since opening, many people have immediately been struck by the Thrills Ville vibes: “This place doesn’t feel like it is in Edwardsville”, “This reminds me of a cross between a video store and my old basement”, “[…] everything you have in here is something that is near and dear to my heart”, “I wish I didn’t have to leave and I could just sleep here”. The store seems to hit people on a different level.

Featuring vintage movie posters, collectables, toys, VHS tapes, keychains, stickers, magnets, and other rad merch, Thrills Ville has a style all its own that is apparent the moment you step in the door. The brainchild of long-time graphic designer, art director, and advertising guru Joe Wieneke, Thrills Ville invites you to dive in to a world of pop culture, art, and inspiration.

But don’t let the memories and nostalgic vibes fool you, Thrills Ville is not a throwback store, wishing to go back to a bygone time. Thrills Ville is a celebration of all things rad, new and old. Join us as we start our adventure and build a community around the things we all love. Welcome to our store, welcome to our community.

Welcome to Thrills Ville
